The Appian Team
Jason Dankowski is a Senior Geologist for Appian Capital Advisory LLP. Jason is responsible for technical due diligence and the identification and implementation of upside on mining projects, principally from the mine geology, mine to mill reconciliation, and near-mine exploration perspective.
With more than 15 years of experience at major mining companies, Jason has been a leader in the industry with his focus on optimization and risk mitigation across the entire mining value chain. Most recently, with Barrick’s Nevada Gold Mines as Mineral Resources Manager at their Phoenix Mine, Jason led the team in ore control, geological modelling, resource estimation, reconciliation, mine planning strategy, and near-mine exploration. Prior to this, Jason was Resource Geology and Growth Lead for De Beers Group, where he developed a reconciliation platform that he implemented across all Canadian operations, and he led the near-mine exploration program that resulted in the discovery of two new kimberlites and the multi-year growth of the Life of Mine at the Gahcho Kue Mine.
Jason is a registered Professional Geologist and has an Executive MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queens University, a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from the University of Manitoba, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Geostatistics from the University of Alberta.
