DESCRIPTION
Rob is Senior Adviser to Appian in Australia. Based in Sydney, Rob is responsible for origination, transaction evaluation, due diligence, structuring and execution and portfolio company oversight.
Prior to joining Appian, Rob was Managing Director of Mineral Deposits Limited (MDL) which owned a 50% interest in the TiZir Joint Venture which comprised the Grande Cote mineral sands mine in Senegal and the TiZir Titanium and Iron smelting operations in Norway. Rob was also the Joint Managing Director of the TiZir joint Venture.
Before his appointment at MDL, Rob spent 25 years in the investment banking industry focused on providing finance and advisory services to international mining companies. During this time he held senior positions with JPMorgan, Macquarie Bank and RBC Capital Markets.
Rob has a BEc from Sydney University in Australia.
Senior Advisors are not full-time employees of Appian and the terms of their engagement as Senior Advisors permit them to, and it is expected they will, have other industry roles and businesses. To the extent an Appian-advised investment vehicle or a portfolio company engages a Senior Advisor (or a company with which such Senior Advisor is affiliated with or employed by) for services, the relevant vehicle will bear the fees and costs of such services. No Appian-advised investment vehicle will bear the costs for the provision of services within a Senior Advisor’s stated responsibilities to Appian.
