Serrote is a copper-gold asset in Brazil, that Appian developed from greenfield into production
INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Serrote is an advanced stage, de-risked greenfield copper-gold asset that Appian developed and brought into production. A high-quality management team with extensive local and international experience has been put in place to drive development and ensure long-term success of the project. Excellent access to infrastructure and lean-design engineering result in a low capital intensity project. The asset is a well understood, conventional open pit deposit employing proven processing technology with a higher grade, low strip starter pit resulting in a high margin, defensive investment opportunity. The project also benefits from a large local labour force, simple access to power and water, and the nearby Aracaju port.
Following acquisition, Appian completed an updated DFS outlining a 14-year mine life producing approximately 20 thousand tonnes of copper equivalent per annum in a premium, high grade concentrate.
Several expansion and exploration opportunities have been pursued with significant defined mineralisation outside of the current mine plan as well as numerous satellite resources and targets within trucking distance of the planned plant infrastructure.
