The highly experienced technical and financial team, has overseen 60+ mine builds and over US$200bn of mining sector transactions, and works in a close and collaborative manner with management teams to deliver optimal results

Mr. Malchuk has joined Appian’s Senior Advisory team where he will provide guidance during the sourcing, due diligence and execution process through his extensive network with a focus on the Americas.

Prior to joining Appian, he was the President Operations, Minerals Americas of BHP where he led BHP’s operations in the Americas. In addition, Mr. Malchuk held positions at BHP including, President of Copper, President of Aluminium, Manganese and Nickel, President Minerals Exploration and Vice President Strategy and Development as well as various other positions.

Mr. Malchuk is a seasoned resources executive who led operations and commercial transactions across 10 different commodities. He lived and worked in Chile, the United States, Singapore and Australia and conducted business in 20 countries. Mr. Malchuk has extensive exposure to publicly listed board dynamics, having served as a Member and Chair of Boards of various JV companies in Australia, Africa and the Americas, as well as of public and private entities and industry associations.

Danny holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles and a degree in Civil Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Chile.
