Rear Admiral John F. Meier (Ret.) served 37 years in the United States Navy, culminating as Commander of Naval Air Force Atlantic. A graduate of the US Naval Academy and accomplished naval aviator, he commanded at every level, including Carrier Strike Group Ten and USS Gerald R. Ford, where he served as the ship’s first commanding officer and helped establish the crew and culture of the Navy’s newest aircraft carrier.
