Vedra Metals is the Joint Venture between Altamin and Appian holding the Gorno Project near Bergamo in Italy
INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Vedra Metals is the Joint Venture between Appian and Altamin holding the Gorno Project. Gorno is a European-based zinc-lead-silver development project, with historic mining operations, substantial near-mine exploration potential and clean concentrate and direct access to European smelters.
Zinc and lead, both crucial base metals within the global economy are projected to play an increasingly important role in the energy transition. Zinc is used in the infrastructure, automotive and construction industries and is increasingly used in the production of EV critical alloys. Lead plays a key role in a number of industrial applications and is essential to the modern economy.
The Gorno project has a number of strong fundamentals including:
- Significant resource development upside near current workings and the regional area, with the resource open in most directions and an indication that the deposit continues in untested areas
- Strategically located and projected to be one of the few large-scale zinc and lead concentrate producers based in Europe capable of supplying European smelters and refiners
- Benefits from significant sunk capital with existing underground infrastructure and operating history
- Expected to produce high quality concentrates with high metal grades and low impurities
