Jean is a Senior Consultant at Appian and based in Montreal, Canada. Jean is a geologist with 45 years of experience in Canada and internationally (USA, Mexico, Latin America, Ireland, Spain and Africa). Early in his career, he worked with Newmont, Falconbridge, Dome Mines and Placer Dome. He was a C-suite executive for a number of small cap junior exploration companies over the years.

He also remained active as a technical, management and financing consultant with junior explorers since the early 2000’s via his private geo-consultancy firm. He led a number of teams in the search for precious and base metals, nickel and PGE’s, uranium and iron. His expertise spans company and project evaluations, audits, and reporting; exploration program planning, execution, reporting, research and investment presentations.

He obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Geology from the University of Ottawa, and he is an accredited Professional Geologist in Quebec and Ontario.

Using his professional network, Jean will be primarily sourcing and presenting potential mining transactions for companies headquartered in North America (and in particular in Quebec) or that have assets in and outside of North America, as well as assisting on the execution of transactions.
