Yohan Sanmugam is a Principal in Appian’s Finance Team. He is based in London and is responsible for sourcing opportunities, investment evaluation, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.

Before joining Appian, Yohan worked at Carlyle for over a decade in the international energy fund, Carlyle International Energy Partners, focusing on investments across the energy value chain, covering both traditional oil and gas and the energy transition. Yohan started his career at Goldman Sachs in London working in the UK coverage team of the investment banking division.

Yohan holds a degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
