DESCRIPTION
Keiran is Vice President of Global Maintenance at Appian. He is based in London and is responsible for overseeing all maintenance related matters on future and ongoing operations across Appian’s portfolio companies.
Keiran has a career spanning over 30 years across mining and resources sectors worldwide. Throughout the course of his operational and consulting career, he has gained an expertise in engineering, maintenance, project and general management while leading large, high performing teams across plant and open cut/underground mine operations in Australasia, Asia, North America and Africa.
Keiran has previously worked for BHP, Newmont, Freeport McMoran, Barrick Gold, MMG, First Quantum, as well as various small and mid-cap miners, in senior maintenance, engineering and management roles. He recently spent several years working for an operational consulting firm carrying out site assessments, asset management improvement programs, project management of mine expansions, and training of mine site management teams.
Keiran has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Monash University, Australia and a Master of Business Administration and Project Management from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has also completed the Queens Executive Program at Queens University, Canada. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia and a qualified Organizational Coach with the Institute of Executive Coaching & Leadership (IECL) in Australia. Keiran holds Australian & Canadian citizenship.
