Graeme is Appian’s Chief Operating Officer.  He is based in London and is responsible for overseeing global non-investment activities, including finance, legal, compliance, technology, human talent and office management.

Graeme was previously COO at Pemberton Capital Advisors, a leading European private debt manager, and before that COO of BC Partners, a leading investment firm across private equity, private debt and real estate.

After qualifying as a Chartered accountant in a big four firm, his early career included roles in finance and operations at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank in Europe and Asia Pacific, before taking positions as finance director of listed companies, including Evolution Group Plc and Ashmore Group Plc, a specialist emerging markets investment manager.

Graeme holds an MA in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
