The highly experienced technical and financial team, has overseen 60+ mine builds and over US$200bn of mining sector transactions, and works in a close and collaborative manner with management teams to deliver optimal results

Tim is a Vice President in Appian’s Financial Team, based in Perth, Australia. Tim focuses on investment origination and evaluation, transaction execution and portfolio company oversight.

Prior to joining Appian, Tim worked in mining-focused investment banking and advisory roles. He was most recently a Director in UBS’ Australian Mining and Metals Investment Banking team, where he led a range of major M&A and capital markets transactions in the mining industry. Prior to UBS, Tim worked at EY in the Mergers and Acquisitions team, advising on M&A and project finance transactions across mining and metals, energy and agriculture.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance and Accounting) from the University of Western Australia, and a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (CA) from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.  Tim is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
