Adam is a Managing Director in Appian’s Investment Team. He is responsible for investment origination and evaluation, leading transaction execution and financial due diligence and portfolio monitoring. Adam is currently on secondment as Chief Financial Officer at Urbix Inc.

Prior to joining Appian, Adam spent 8 years in private equity and investment banking roles. He spent 5 years at Mubadala Investment Company performing diligence, executing and managing investments primarily in its Mining, Aluminum and Utilities sectors and 3 years at Deutsche Bank advising Metals and Mining companies on M&A and capital markets transactions.

Adam began his career serving 6 years as a submarine officer in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he qualified as a nuclear engineer and managed operations across various engineering disciplines.

Adam earned his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and Naval Postgraduate School.
