Melody Dong is Appian’s Head of Commodity Research, based in Beijing, China. Melody oversees Appian’s commodities market research and prices outlook, providing insights on market dynamics and commodities supply and demand forecasts.

Prior to joining Appian, Melody spent three years working as a senior analyst in the commodities research team at China International Capital Corporation. Before that she was a senior research associate on the commodities desk at Macquarie in China for four years.

Melody holds a double Master’s degree in international management from Fudan and Bocconi Universities, and a Bachelor’s degree in management, specialising in accounting, from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
