DESCRIPTION
Sam is an Associate at Appian, where he supports the operational, project, and financial performance across its portfolio of Base Metals assets.
Prior to joining Appian, Sam held engineering and project roles at Glencore in the UK and Australia, delivering projects through study, execution, and operational phases across mining and metallurgical assets. His experience spans technical, commercial, and operational due diligence, project delivery, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams within regulated operating environments. Sam began his career at Monadelphous, delivering engineering and construction projects across Australia in the mining, energy, and utilities sectors.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Law from Queensland University of Technology, and an MSc in Metal and Energy Finance from Imperial College London.
