Director of Mining
DESCRIPTION
Ralph is a Director of Mining for Appian. Ralph is based in London and is responsible for undertaking technical due diligence on mining projects, principally from an engineering and mining perspective.
Ralph has 30 years of experience in underground and surface mining operations from resource definition to production, predominantly within base and precious metals. Throughout the course of his operational and consulting career, he gained key skills in exploration, feasibility studies, planning, budgeting, development, equipment selection, financial modelling and mine management.
Prior to joining Appian, Ralph served an eight-year tenure with AMEC, overseeing numerous PFS / DFS studies, reserve audits, technical reviews and due diligence. Previous to AMEC, Ralph worked with Barrick Gold where he held various management and engineering roles in both operations and development, performing due diligence, feasibility studies and audit work.
Ralph is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, holds an MBA from Tulane University, a MagÃster en Administración (Maximum Distinction) from the Universidad de Chile, a BSc. (Honours) in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada, and a Mining Technologist Diploma from the Haileybury School of Mines.
