The highly experienced technical and financial team, has overseen 60+ mine builds and over US$200bn of mining sector transactions, and works in a close and collaborative manner with management teams to deliver optimal results

Sebastian is a member of Appian Capital’s Base Metals team in London, responsibilities include overseeing operational and financial performance within Appian’s Base Metals portfolio companies, asset evaluation on current and potential projects, assisting in planning short, medium and long-term investment blueprints and transaction execution.

Prior to joining Appian, Sebastian held a leadership role in the finance team at Volcan Compañía Minera based in Peru where he directed budget processes, assessed the mining assets performance, crafted long-term plans for the operations and implemented systems to enhance tracking and measurement of performance. Sebastian began his career in Hochschild Mining PLC’s finance team where he spent over three years.

Sebastian holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and two bachelor’s degrees—one in Economics from the University of Lima and another in Business Administration from the University of London.
