Silvio Lima is Appian’s Head of Corporate Affairs, ESG and Community Engagement. He joined Atlantic Nickel as Director of Corporate Affairs and People in September of 2019 and has more than 16 years of experience in metals, aeronautics, and mining, in which he led complex communication and engagement projects in a multi-stakeholder environment dealing with governments, public, private and third sector under an effective and sustainable approach.

Before joining Atlantic Nickel, Mr. Lima held executive positions at Accenture Strategy Consulting, serving global clients such as Vale and Votorantim Group in the Corporate Affairs space, served as Head of Social Performance at Anglo American for the Minas-Rio system and for the Nickel operations in Brazil, and was part of Kinross, where he served as Director of Corporate Affairs.

Silvio holds a BSc. degree in Control and Automation Engineering from Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Technological Institute of Aeronautics – ITA, and an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.
