DESCRIPTION
Ken is a Director of Mineral Evaluations for Appian. Ken is based in London and is responsible for undertaking technical due diligence from a resource modelling and geology perspective.
Ken has more than 30 years of worldwide experience in the mining industry. His core skills include resource and reserve risk assessment, audits, due diligence activities, geostatistical studies, operational improvement studies and resource and reserve estimation. Ken has been directly involved in the final resource and reserve estimations for new mine openings at more than 10 mines including Los Pelambres, Escondida Norte, San Gregorio, Grasberg Big Gossen, Akyem, Diavik and Gaucho Kue.
Ken has led and participated in more than 150 studies and reviews ranging in focus among greenfields, PEA, PFS, DFS and operating mines. Ken has executed projects in a wide range of locations including North and South America, Africa, Indonesia, Russia and Australia, serving as a Competent / Qualified person (NI43-101 and JORC) across several commodities including gold, silver, diamonds, copper, nickel and zinc. Prior to joining Appian, Ken spent 22 years with Amec Mining and Consulting (now Wood PLC).
